Geek Housecalls, Inc. gives presentation on Cloud Computing at the Salem State Enterprise Center
SALEM, MA MARCH 15, 2012 – GEEK HOUSECALLS, INC. held a workshop presentation at the Enterprise Center at Salem State University this morning titled “Cloud Computing: What’s It All About.” The workshop, available to the general public, was presented in front of approximately 50 people.
Dave Ehlke, President of Geek Housecalls, and Charlie Hoover, a Geek at Geek Housecalls, were the featured presenters on the cloud computing workshop. Ehlke says he felt the need to spread the word about the cloud computing trend: “All the big names in the tech industry are talking about and promoting cloud computing…but for a lot of people it’s still just a buzzword.” During the workshop, Hoover and Ehlke spoke about what cloud computing is, its advantages and disadvantages, and who the providers are. Ehlke believes that the presentation “Gave audience members a great first-hand look inside ‘the cloud’ and answered a lot of questions being raised about this big IT trend.”
