We use our our Geeks' in-the-trenches experience and some very advanced utilities to identify and purge unused and unwanted software that has accumulated on your machine until you're left with just the programs you need and use. We also scour more common things like cookies, temp files, etc. and make sure your machine is up to date with security patches.

The Computer Tuneup is a fixed-price service that is tailored to you and your computer, and can be performed in your home or at our drop off center.

    • This is priced for a fixed set of services. We are happy to help you with other issues, but our regular hourly charges will be applied ($37.50 per quarter hour).

    There are an endless array of snake-oil solutions that claim to clean up your computer. Be very wary of these programs. Most of them do a very basic set of tweaks that will give a temporary boost or (as is often the case) release their real payload: an infection! 

    How often do I need a tuneup?

    In the same way that you perform routine maintenance on your car, a regularly scheduled tune-up on your computer can often discover problems before they become unmanageable. It can also greatly extend the life of your machine. We recommend scheduling one every six months or so to keep things running smoothly.
