Geeks wanted...
(Read on, or skip directly to technical Geek Positions or to non-technical Admin Positions)
Life on the road, traveling to 3-4 appointments a day isn't easy, but the first time a customer thanks you with a batch of cookies, you "get it." When it comes to job satisfaction, there are very few positions in the modern world that offer this much positive and enthusiastic customer feedback. If you do a great job of taking care of your customers, they'll definitely let you know!
The new definition of Geek
GEEK n. 1. A person with exceptional knowledge about a particular subject, usually of a scientific, mathematic, or technological nature. 2. An enthusiast who is generally recognized as an expert in his or her field or hobby.
The term Geek, once derogatory, has been triumphantly redefined by self-proclaimed "geeks" in every field who share the unique personality trait of "eating, sleeping, and breathing" their chosen vocation. The new definition of geek is most clearly evident in the ranks of computer professionals who proudly bear the "geek" label on everything from hats and shirts to corporate monikers and even license plates. Pervasive use of the term "geek" to mean "expert" can now be observed in countless and diverse fields including automotive geeks, movie geeks, food geeks, sports geeks, even bowling geeks (no really! Who would have thought??), and so on... welcome to the new geek sensibility!

If selected for an Interview, you will be invited to our Burlington headquarters where you will be asked to complete a face-to-face interactive evaluation that explores your direct knowledge of and experience with various aspects of computer, networking, and gadget technologies. You may also be presented with "broken" computer equipment and asked to diagnose and/or repair as part of your evaluation.
Geek candidates take note! As a policy, all full time geek candidates must first prove themselves as either part-time employees or subcontractors before being considered for promotion to a full-time position.
Part-time geeks and subcontractors are paid for billable time only. Travel time and expenses are not reimbursed except for parking expenses as required for city customers.
Full-time geeks are paid a salary that covers full workdays and are provided a fleet card that covers gas and certain vehicle expenses. Depending on location and market exposure, some geeks may also be provided with a Geekster.
From time to time, full-time geek positions become available. These positions are always filled from within the ranks of part-timers and subcontractors. To become eligible for consideration as a full-time geek, part-time or subcontractor geeks must prove themselves to be consistent and enthusiastic performers in the field. Demonstrate a strong sense of teamwork, working well with dispatch, customer service, job accounting, and our core of full-time geeks. And most importantly, must impress our customers as measured by customer satisfaction surveys and other direct feedback from customers.
All geeks are measured and rewarded according to responsiveness, scheduling flexibility, time management skills, billable value, and customer satisfaction.
