Computer troubles? Try "Hair of the Geek!"
We all know how it works... the problem magically evaporates just as the geek arrives.
How often have you called for help only to have the problem fix itself? Computer owners are starting to experience a phenomenon that has plagued owners and users of technology for as long as technology has existed. Just ask anyone that owns a car what happens when their car is making a strange clunking sound or pulling to the side or having difficulty starting... As soon as you pull into the service station to show your mechanic, the problem miraculously goes away, and of course, your mechanic is left scratching his head and wondering what you brought it in for.
Well, as it turns out, computer owners suffer from a similar affliction, and we can tell you, that sometimes just the threat of a geek coming onsite is enough to bring an errant computer into line. No really! It's true! We probably have 3-5 appointments cancelled each week from computer owners who report that the problem miraculously fixed itself after they spoke with us.
Of course, some computers are very sneaky and will wait until after you've cancelled your appointment, and then promptly resume the aforementioned errant behavior. Other computers will taunt you, just occasionally letting on in fits and starts that there's a problem, but never really giving you anything concrete to go on. However, the truly malicious computer will allow the problem to lay dormant until some ultimate moment when you need your computer the most (geeks refer to this as a "dire-need sensor"), and will then fail just as you are wrapping up hours of unsaved work on your term paper, or as you are about to print out your income tax return on the eve of April the 15th.
How can Geek Housecalls help?
If you have a sneaky or malevolent computer, here's your chance to turn the tables on it. We have developed a product that is the perfect mix of technology and voodoo for just such situations. "Hair of the Geek" is a small vial of geek hair that you tape to the side of your monitor. By being in such close proximity to the electrons flowing between your computer and monitor, it makes your computer think that there's a geek in the room and thus tricks it into performing flawlessly.
Of course, if this were true, we'd retire from fixing computers and spend our days at the barbershop bottling our hair, but since it's not, we'll remain ready to come help out when your sneaky, malevolent, or otherwise errant computer acts up, so make sure you keep our phone number handy, and whatever you do, store it someplace else besides on your computer!
